City of Los Angeles, CA – Community Park Concept

Scope:

Nvision Studios and Nuvis collaborated with Kimley-Horn to develop conceptual plans, site alternatives, renderings, and presentation graphics for the City of Los Angeles. The project focused on enhancing landscape design and circulation connections between West Park and East Park, creating an accessible, engaging, and community-focused urban green space.

Purpose:

To connect and activate both parks through a unified design vision that improves mobility, promotes recreation, and fosters economic and social activity within the downtown neighborhood.

  • A vibrant farmer’s market and flexible event space

  • Inclusive play areas for all ages

  • A dynamic skate park

  • Food and beverage concessions

  • A dedicated dog “Bark Park”

  • Multi-use sports fields

  • Inviting plazas and public gathering spaces

Design Intent:

The project aimed to establish a true “Living Space”—an open, inclusive environment that reflects the culture, diversity, and everyday life of the surrounding community. It encourages health, engagement, and opportunity by integrating recreation, business, and social infrastructure into the urban landscape.
